The property was sympathetically renovated in 2015. The traditional facade of the house has been preserved and the interior has all the added benefits of quality modern conveniences, including italian marble tiles, underfloor heating, inset wood burning fire, unlimited WiFi and hotel quality bedlinen.
The gite “ La Maison d'à Côté “ is conveniently located in the heart of the famous pottery town of Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, overlooking the market square. Market day is Monday morning.
All essential local conveniences are all within easy walking distance. Such as the boulangerie, pharmacy, supermarket, cafes, restaurants, bank, doctors and hairdressers. Should you wish to eat out there are few good restaurants in the area.
The Town of Saint-Amand has a long history of supporting arts and culture. You will find there are many ceramic galleries to visit and the Chateau sits proudly near the river opposite the Tourist Information centre. The Château hosts many exhibitions and celebrations throughout the holiday season.
The owner of the gite does occupy the property next door and is available to ask questions and give recommendations should they be required.
Saint-Armand is ideally situated to access the many tourist attractions available in the area.
